Groundsman/General Laborers
Although an entry level position, groundsmen earn competitive wages and overtime.
Also with tree service evolving constantly, and being so specialized, career opportunities are close at hand to motivated individuals.
From dragging brush, to running large chippers, to eventually running saws and ropes, a good groundsmen is an irreplaceable asset to the crew and company.
Tree Climbers
Climbers need no explanation of what is requested of them.
If you don't have a solid understanding and experience in doing climbing work for tree removal, you simply do not qualify for this position.
5 years of experience or more climbing with references only.
License and transportation a must.
Your own basic up to date gear expected.
Bucket Operators
Bucket Operators that can also climb, with appropriate CDL A certification, receive the highest compensation.
Also generally referred to as "the foreman", responsibilities are deferred to the Operator when management is not on site.
This is an incredible responsibility as quality assurance is completely up to them.
Operators with experience are valued and respected throughout the industry, and will be paid as such
Log Removal Operators
CDL A and 2A hoisting license holders are sought after.
In most cases you are the final representative of the company on site.
Along with operating a bobcat or other compact loader to remove the larger sections of wood, you are expected to to the final touch up of the site and report any damages.
In most cases the Log Truck Operator will collect payment to ensure in person the customer is satisfied with the work and there are no issues.
This position needs requires the candidate to have great attention to detail and the ability to work the hours necessary to accomplish whatever is necessary, you would be the linchpin to finishing all work.
Roll Off Drivers
Roll off drivers with a CDL B are always in demand.
The perfect candidate would be someone responsible and eager to do repeated daily runs to the material yard.
Not a labor intensive position, this job is perfect for a good driver that likes a straight forward day a of work and can communicate clearly on the scope of materials the truck can move in a day at any given time.
Maintenance in this position is of the highest important due to the high volume of wear and tear on roll off mechanisms.
Front Office Representatives
We need a reliable organized person that can type at high volume and be thorough with customers.
Asking the right questions and staying calm with customers is key.
In some situations customers will call in frightened without power and with property damage so you have to control your own emotions and instill confidence on the phone is a must.
Our system is a quick learn and will help organize the incoming information.
Any experience in high volume work using systems in careers like pharmacy prescription fulfillment has been a terrific fit for our industry, and has a greater degree of ease compared to that field, with similar wages and fewer hours.
